Aldrin is a PhD student at UC Santa Cruz, working on research at the intersection of bioinformatics, storage systems, and data management. He has an M.S. in computer science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has worked five years in industry, primarily in bioinformatics, before going back to grad school.
